Rolling out uniforms to one office is simple. Rolling them out to twenty branches across several cities is a logistics project. This checklist helps retail chains, banks, hospitals and service companies get it right.
1. Lock the design and fabric first
Approve final samples and fabric before collecting sizes. Changes after this point slow everything down.
2. Collect sizes centrally
- Use one size chart and one form for all locations.
- Run a size-set trial at a few sites first.
- Get sizes from every employee, not estimates from branch managers.
3. Pack by location and employee
Ask your supplier to pack each employee’s set separately, labelled with name and branch. This makes distribution at each site fast and avoids mix-ups.
4. Plan delivery by region
- Schedule deliveries so all branches can launch on the same date.
- Confirm a receiving contact at each site.
- Keep a delivery tracker shared with HR.
5. Set up a reorder process
New joiners and replacements are constant in multi-site businesses. Agree on a simple reorder form, standard turnaround and buffer stock in core sizes.
6. Gather feedback
After the first month, ask staff about fit and comfort. Small adjustments now prevent bigger problems at the next reorder.
